Joey has liked to ride with Grandma on the dirt bike so this year we made the trip to the sand dunes for his birthday sleepover. He is getting too tall to ride with me and this was my first sand riding so he got to ride with Grandpa. "Let's go again" and "Let's go faster" and "Let's go over that" were the requests he made over and over again. Beware Mom and Dad, this one likes speed!

Nathan - 8
Nathan is growing up so fast. This year as part of his birthday sleepover we had front row center court tickets to a D league basketball game. It is really a whole different perspective to watch the game so up close and personal. With all the on-floor chatter I was a little worried about what kind of language might be flying around but the player's benches were on the opposite side of the court so we did fine.
Jefrie - 1
Now for going backward to move forward--after all I am a lover of history.
We enjoy having the grandchildren over individually for a special sleepover near their birthday. This allows one-on-one time with each child and we have a great time.
The first birthday of the year is Jeffrie. Although Jeffrie is not old enough for a sleepover, I made the trip to visit her on the occasion of her 1st birthday. Trystal and Hannah, Tawnia and Marti made the trip with me. One of the more amusing things happened when we all went swimming. Amy had been nervous about letting Jefrie go under water so Grandma took her and did the whole 1,2,3, blow in her face and let her go. She did fine and seemed to like it. Trystal was doing the same with Hannah. However, some woman nearby in the pool nearly had a heart attack and had to leave the area to calm herself. (I hope she didn't pee in the pool with all the excitement!)

THE BEGINNING:
Perhaps my claim of not having anything happening in my life worth a blog should have been taken at face value. For whatever reason, I have now felt the need to create this little slice of techno blabber.
I think it is mostly for me so when I am old(er) and gray(er) I won't have to rely on my remarkable memory skills!
So . . . lets get started!
