Unplanned Visit

Little Anna ended up in the hospital with RSV at just 2 weeks old.  Rachael came down to stay with us (Trystal and Grandma) to allow Jamie and Patrick to stay with Anna and not have to worry about Rachael.  She enjoyed playing with her cousins.  Where did all these kids come from? We're happy that Anna has recovered and is home again. (4/2011)

Our annual sojourn to Cactus League Spring Training included a few new faces this year.  Of course on the way down was the obligatory stop at Glen Canyon Dam.  Lynn came down from Denver and Tawnia and Kory made the trip, too.  Kory actually made it to one ball game but was really with us for the golfing.  We spent some time tromping around in the desert.  Before a game at Talking Stick (a new stadium that opened this year) we stumbled across a classic car show.  That was fun!  It was snowing at home while we were enjoying the sun.  Ahhhh, spring training!! #10

Welcome to our 10th grandchild!  I was able to be there for the birth of our newest granddaughter.  Nothing better than new babies : )  Rachael was not too sure about this new addition but was cautiously optimistic.  Welcome Anna!  (3/2011)

March CMA

Aaron, Amy, Jeffrie & Eastyn were able to join us for our March monthly activity.  We headed to the west desert for some bike riding, motorized and non-motorized.  Joey and Grandma tried out some jumps.  Marti and Emersyn enjoyed riding with Grandma, too.  Dutch oven dessert was enjoyed by all.  Another fun day! (3/2011)

Zoo-bies

The Colorado gang made a trip out for Amy's cousin's wedding the first part of March. We met up at the Zoo for a few fun hours. Nice to let the cousins get together. (3/2011)

CMA - February

The Cobbley Monthly Activity for February was a nerf gun war held one Saturday morning at a local church building cultural hall. Everyone was well-armed and ready for some serious battles. It was a successful morning. (2/2011)

Fifty Festivities

The sisters got together in Arizona for some festivities to welcome in the newest member to the 50 club. We had some great fun together. We started at the desert botanical garden then out to dinner at Rustler's Roost. Several of the old ladies actually took the slide down to the dining floor. Our trip to Biosphere 2 the next day was definitely worth the drive. On Saturday we went flying--on the flying trapeze. Wow! Everyone did a great job except for one pathetic exception, me. Some crazy windy weather cut our class short and we were actually sad to end it. A trip to the boob whisperer finished us off. Kelsy was a great sport hanging out with us through all the craziness. Thanks, everyone!

A Birthday with some pop.

Nathan's birthday outing was a BLAST (literally). Grandpa helped him learn about guns. He brought his airsoft out to the desert and did some shooting. Then he got to shoot some of Grandma and Grandpa's guns. He did a great job! Wow, he is getting all grown up. (2/2011)

Post-Christmas Trip

The old folks hopped a plane the day after Christmas and headed for Colorado to visit the grandchildren--and, oh yeah, Aaron and Amy, too. We visited downtown Denver and saw the lights on one of the state buildings. The best part of that trip was the Pink Berry Yogurt. Although Grandpa was not in agreement. Aaron and Amy were getting ready to move from their place so we did a little help with packing. Nice trip!. (Note: I am patiently waiting for the pictures from Grandpa which would make this post a lot better.) 12/2010
